Week Eight Assignment for the Makeover2Takeover competition is our last one! I might have withdraws... it's been an awesome contest and I'm so honored to be among Desiree Daniels/Brian Block & Midori Miller/Jeanette Neerpat with Missy Caulk in the Top Three!
This week's assignment was to demonstrate with creativity the Value of Using a REALTOR(R). How do you do that in a Single Page Word Document & 3 minute (max) video?
It's not possible. You can't. However, you can do your very best - and go with it. That's what I've done.
Now it's nail biting time until we receive the results at Inman Connect in San Francisco - I hope I'm not sick with anxiety for the announcement. But you know what? I've done my best- and I'd be very happy if any of the remaining teams were crowned the Makeover2Takeover ActiveRain Winners!

Kim-great job! This one was a tough one!
Kim, good job...you're right the waiting is going to kill me, but it is done. What a great experience, for both of us. I love the way you nailed them down to the 10 showings and pick three, thats my girl apprentice! How many agents do that? Not many...like before the contest when you were showing 40 or 50 homes for 3 months at a time. It is all in how you lay out their expectations !
Kim, I enjoyed your news reporter concept and watching your meeting with your buyers. Congratulations on finishing up the week 8 challenge. Looking forward to meeting you next week.
Kim, I know these videos and scripting the role playing is harder than it looks but I think you did a wonderful job. Hey, and tell that sassy "Mister" buyer, YOU are the "hot" chick!! Good luck to you and Missy.
Kim - excellent job, I have been fol owing your progress and you and Missy are already winners. Best wishes.
LOL loved the reporter concept... great idea can I steal it for the future??
Kim, it looks like you were having fun! You did a great job.
Later in the rain~Deb
Midori,
Yes! Not an easy one!
Missy,
I learned that from my ROCKIN' Mentor!!! It fit in so nicely.... so much didn't fit that I filmed, so glad that did :)
Brian,
It wasn't easy knowing Mr. Video-Man Block was around the corner. I wouldn't watch yours till I was all done :)
Gary,
LOL. You are too funny! I thought people might relate to "why not call another agent"
Jennifer,
Thank you! We have come a long way - and both agree if nothing else, we got an AWESOME friendship outta the deal!
Desiree,
My Dear Friend, you may have just about all of anything I have! YES! Steal!
Deb,
Not sure about having fun, it was a little intimidating - it was our first take - but we all agreed to go with it.
Kim, great video. I like the idea of you setting the stage about looking at 10 houses and then narrowing it down, and making an offer. I also liked the idea of having an announcer.
Kim... good luck. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow! :)
Kim, I loved your "reporting" spin that you took with your video....I also thought it was brilliant when you told your buyers to google you! That showed confidence. Great job girl! I'll be cheering for all of you this week at Inman. Best of luck!
Deborah, The funnel analogy I've used for quite a while. My awesome mentor, Missy taught me the 10-3-1 house plan! It's great! Sets up the plan and roll with it!
Jeff, Can't wait!
Elizabeth, Thought we needed something different. The role playing was harder than I thought - especially with our time limit. Thanks for your cheers - all of us appreciate it :)
Kim~ Loved the video. I have not even thought of being in a video, too intimidating, LOL. Way to go, get over that fear and just do it! You have done a awesome job!
Kim- That was intimidating to do! I like the spin of using a reporter out in front. That is very effective as well.
Wow.. Kim I love it.. you did a great job... and given them a choice made them be in control and at the same time them know that you are there for them... I also love the idea that they should make a decision once they have viewed 3 homes of their choice.... great idea... That HOT CHICK has nothing on you.....
Kim - this was terrific. I loved it. Best of luck in the contest. I liked how you told the buyers to Google you - I do this all the time with both bueyrs and sellers.
Jeff
Kim, this would be FAR too unnerving for me (being recorded). I congratulate you on competently putting it "out there"- thank you!
Kim great video!! You have done an excellent job. Now you can just sit back and wait (better said than done huh?) Best of luck to you in San Francisco!!
Very cool video Kim...and you are in my old stomping ground...in fact, my dad used to work for the Phoenixville school district
I like your video Kim...very different. Good luck on contest!
