Quick Tip: Open New Tab

mouseMy quick tips are what I'd hoped them to be.... something so simple and "missed" by many. (Of course many of you already knew & used the things I shared - and that's great!).

I wish I remembered where I read this - so I could credit that person with the time it's saved - and the wear and tear on my hands, lol.....  all I remember is that it was in my feed reader..........

When using Internet Explorer or Firefox - to open a new tab, simply double click in the space it would go!

How was I doing it before? Right click on tab, left click "Open New Tab". Yes, I was.... so I figure there are a few more people out there doing the same thing.

Go try!  It's been a great new trick I've used many times this week!

I mainly use FF which does it automatically as you go to a new site, but I found it last week when using IE for real estate stuff. Hey did ya have fun ? Any photo's other than from your phone? PLEEZE

Kim, one of the benefits of coming to ActiveRain is learning something new every day. Great tip and thanks.

in my IE there is a tab I just need to touch once to open . I usually have 3 or 4 tabs open all the time.

Thanks for your quick tip. I usually have so many tabs open that I get a warning message saying "got to close down" click to de-bug or close :-(  No prob, just go at it again :-)

Michael - Love the easy ones too :)

Michael - Sounds like you have it working fine !

Eva - I know... me too. Then other friends of mine say they work with 50 tabs or so.... :O

Joan - Yay! Glad it helped

Randall - True, true.... many people know these things already - but some (like me) didn't :)

Pam - Looks like you have an easy way already! More than my right click, left click old method!

That is a quick and easy tip. It can help prevent muscle strain if nothing else from all the additional mouse movements.  All of those fraction of a seconds may really add up over time.  Seriously this is a nice tip.
